Macarena Bustamante Álvarez

Profesora Titular de Universidad en el Departamento de Prehistoria y Arqueología de la Universidad de Granada

Formación académica

Licenciada y doctor en Historia por la Universidad de Cádiz y graduada en Historia del Arte por la UNED. Ha sido becaria FPU en la Universidad de Cádiz, contratada dentro del Programa JAE-DOC por el CSIC y doctor contratado Juan de la Cierva en la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Desde el año 2017 es docente en el Departamento de Prehistoria y Arqueología de la Universidad de Granada y desde el 2019 es Profesora Titular en dicha institución.

Actividad investigadora

Se formó en Cádiz donde se licenció en Historia -2001/2005- y obtuvo el Premio Extraordinario, Premio Ilustración del Ateneo y Mención Especial al Premio Nacional. Fue becaria FPU del Ministerio en la UCA (2006/2010) y defendió su Doctorado Europeo en Cádiz -2010-. .

En el año 2010 fue contratada dentro del Programa Puente de la UCA. Entre los años 2011 y 2014 ganó un contrato como doctor contratado JAE-DOC en el Instituto de Arqueología de Mérida -CSIC-. Entre el año 2014 y 2017 disfrutó de un contrato postdoctoral de la modalidad Juan de la Cierva en la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. En la actualidad es Profesora Contratada Doctora del Departamento de Prehistoria y Arqueología de la Universidad de Granada.

Ha tomado parte en más de 40 proyectos internacionales de concurrencia competitiva entre ellos: Les civilisations du Pain (CNRS-París), Carte Archeologique du Nord du Marroc (UCA/Université Abdelmalek Esaadi Tetuán), Le thêàtre du Belo (MOM-CNRS-Lyon), Fortuna (Universitè de Lille) o la Samian Data Base (RGZM-Mainz) entre otros. Ha codirigido desde el año 2007 el proyecto Casa d’Arianna en Pompeya junto a A. Ribera. A estos proyectos deben sumarse, otros insertos dentro de los planes nacionales y regionales del Estado Español. En la actualidad dirige el proyecto FULON. Estudio del artesanado textil en Augusta Emerita (Mérida, Badajoz) concedido por el Consorcio de Mérida.

Buena parte de sus más de 50 trabajos científicos han sido publicados en algunas de las revistas mejor valoradas en la ERIH revised list -European Science Foundation- o en WES: Habis, Saguntum, Zephyrus, AespA, Britannia o Journal of Roman Archeology, entre otros. Es autor de 5 monografías (una de ellas en portugués), ha coordinado 3 libros y ha organizado varios eventos (seminarios, congresos o exposiciones).
