Investigador predoctoral contratado FPU del Departamento de Prehistoria y Arqueología de la UGR

Formación académica

Es graduado en Geografía e Historia por la Universidad de Jaén y en Humanidades por la Universidad Internacional de la Rioja. Realizó el Máster Universitario en Arqueología en la Universidad de Granada. Ha disfrutado de una beca JAE Intro ICU en el Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas y en la actualidad realiza su tesis doctoral en la Universidad de Granada, financiada gracias a la obtención de una beca FPU por parte del Ministerio de Universidades.

Actividad investigadora

Su línea de investigación está centrada en estudiar el impacto de la conquista de romana en las estribaciones orientales de Sierra Morena oriental desde la óptica de la Arqueología del Paisaje, analizando los procesos de transformación, hibridación y creación de terceros espacios, protagonizados por las comunidades ibéricas y los conquistadores romanos. Ha participado como director y técnico en más de una veintena de intervenciones arqueológicas, destacando los yacimientos de Castulo (Linares, Jaén), Piedras del Cardado (Bailén, Jaén) o Biniadrís (Alaior, Menorca), entre otros.

Ha sido miembro de diferentes proyectos I+D+I como “Explotación y comercio del metal del sureste de la península ibérica en la antigüedad” (PGC-2018-098665-A-I00), “Producción y Comercialización de los Metales del Sureste de la P.I. en la Antigüedad” (A-HUM-392-UGR18), ambos dirigidos por el Dr. Luis Arboledas Martínez. Los resultados de sus investigaciones se han presentado en numerosos congresos, jornadas y seminarios, así como en más de una treintena de publicaciones de ámbito nacional e internacional.
